Why do I write rants? The better question is when do I write rants? I am occupied with web site development, this site, and writing rants when I am between novels. Writing demands daily exercise like any other activity if you want to stay in shape.

Everywhere you look somebody has an opinion. This is, after all, the information age. But I am always amazed how people with so little intelligence have so much to say about utterly nothing. Please shut up. Yikes.

"Great minds discuss ideas;

average minds discuss events;

small minds discuss people."

- Eleanor Roosevelt

If you want to know what I think about this, that, and the other, read my rants. For the most part, they are about ideas. You should find them amusing.

      Why write Science Fiction?

I have written three novels recently, amid other projects, that are hard to pin down to a single genre because they contain elements of Fantasy, Historical Fiction, Romance, Science Fantasy, Science Fiction, and Speculative Fiction. I consider them Deific Romance but who am I? They are written entertainment. And isn't that what it's all about?

They are not conventional because I deplore formulaic writing. And that has buggered literary agents who like their writers tied up in neat little bows. And after all of that hair-splitting, it has been suggested to me that I label these novels Mythpunk.

Subscribe to my feed.

Can you believe it? I am still scratching my head. Okay, I guess. But it's really just Science Fiction of a different flavor.

So there you go. I have written three so-called Mythpunk novels that you will either hate or love: Hephzibah of Heaven, Thea of the Seraphim, and Tellusian Seed. I also have translated Thea and Seed into French.

This Mythpunk Trilogy is not for the faithless, the nihilistic, or the soulless. These novels will force you to think. They will inflame your passion. And quite possibly, if it is within you, they will reawaken something long forgotten and thought lost. And you will believe. But are you brave enough to read them? Are you ready?

If you think you're ready, or curiosity has gripped you, or you crave a love story that extends from the beginning of time to the dissolution of all things, and beyond, then click on the Book Store link below to discover where you can buy these books.

Now you know.
